Subject: Publication of Bristol Local Plan for representations to be made

At the Full Council meeting on 31^st October, Bristol City Council approved the publication of the Bristol Local Plan in order for comments, which are known as ‘representations’, to be made before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination.

The period in which to make representations runs from Tuesday 21^st November 2023 until the deadline of Friday 26^th January 2024.

Representations can be made via the council’s Ask Bristol Consultation and Engagement Hub. Representation forms can also be downloaded from the council’s website: Local plan review (bristol.gov.uk). Guidance on completing the forms is available on Ask Bristol and the website.

Representations can be submitted:

Representations and a summary of the main issues they raise will be published on the council’s website.

The representations will be considered by the inspector appointed by the Secretary of State to carry out the

examination of the local plan.
