Quarterly meeting dates 2019

The dates for next year’s meetings have been set as

Urban Living SPD replaces SPD 1 Tall Buildings

at the cabinet meeting on November 6th, the new Urban Living Supplementary Planning Document was adopted to replace SPD 1.

The Adopted document had had some additional revisions in response to the last round of consultation and can be found here


City Leap prospectus & Cumberland Basin/ Western Harbour

at the same meeting on November 6th, the cabinet agreed to extend the funding for the project team until 31 March 2019.

The project includes proposals for investment in energy projects and for development at Western Harbour (Cumberland Basin) and at Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

A Cumberland Basin stakeholder group (CBSG), comprising representatives from interested community groups and businesses and the ward councillor, has been set up for the Cumberland Basin proposals and information is shared on the NPN website here  and on the Hotwells and Cliftonwood Community Association website

‘Engagement’ on the energy project has been carried out as presentations to Green Capital meetings. The CBSG met representatives from the Mayor’s office to ask about the engagement programme for the Cumberland Basin community, in line with the BCC Statement of Community Involvement. A response letter from Mayor Marvin Rees is shared on the pages above.


Engine Shed 2, Temple Square and Station Approach devt.

at the same meeting on November 6th, the cabinet agreed to pursue the Compulsory Purchase of the Grosvenor Hotel as part of the development proposals for Engine Shed 2, Temple Square and the Station Approach. details at item 10 here
