Topics were the Joint Spatial Plan and the Statement of Community Involvement review.
The consultation on the Joint Spatial Plan will start on November 9th.
It is going to affect development in Bristol so don’t forget to have your say.

Heritage Regeneration workshop
is being held in Swindon on November 4th by the Prince’s Regeneration Trust through BRICK, the education programme which provides expertise and resources to support community groups and others involved with heritage regeneration projects. This particular workshop will feature speakers from Department for Communities and Local Government, Triangle Consulting Social Enterprise, Purcell and members from their team covering topics ranging from conservation issues and impact evaluation to innovative financing and governance. The chair of the Mechanic’s Institution Trust will also be sharing case studies of the group’s work in the local area.

Housing and Space Standards:
reminder that National Space Standards now apply rather than the Bristol City Council standards July 2011. The National Space Standards came into force on October 1st 2015.

BCC has published guidance notes on how all the Housing Standards will be applied here


Office to Residential use conversion.
The Housing and Planning Minister Brandon Lewis has confirmed that the temporary permitted development right has now been made permanent.

Unfortunately recent BCC website changes have affected all the links on the NPN website and it will take a bit of time to update. In due course, if you spot anything that needs changing that I have missed, please let me know.

If there is anything on their website in planning that is missing/ doesn’t appear when searched for/ broken, please let me and them know.
