Arnolfini event 2.30 pm 17 June:
all welcome

The Urban Land Institute (ULI UK) Technical Assistance Panel will be presenting their recommendations in a public session at the Arnolfini on the Tuesday afternoon.

The Panel is running over two days in Bristol’s Big Green Week, Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th June.

The multi disciplinary team from the ULI talked with some local ‘stakeholders’ on Monday morning and visited two Bristol sites in the afternoon.
Information about the ULI was circulated in the previous newsletter.

This panel has been developed with the support of City Hall and the Mayor, to focus on two questions:
  • What role can community-led development play in unlocking access to land or financing for small-scale sustainable urban development?
  • What can the Bristol Community Land Trust learn from expertise elsewhere, in order to evolve into a thriving contributor to Bristol’s economy?

The recommendations are likely to be of particular interest to Neighbourhood Planning Forums who wish to look at ways of bringing forward the development set out in their Neighbourhood Development Plans.

Congratulations to Sarah O’Driscoll for being awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to the community and Neighbourhood Planning in Bristol.
