National Planning Policy Framework NPPF

The NPPF supersedes a number of Planning Policy Guides and Planning Policy Statements, in an attempt to simplify national policy and make it more accessible. It also changes some previous policies in a move to ‘support growth’ and create homes and jobs. It includes a presumption in favour of ‘sustainable development’.

It does not cover Waste Policies, Gypsy and Traveller policies or Nationally Significant Infrastructure Policies.
