Southville Community Development Association
SCDA is a development trust serving neighbourhoods including Bedminster, Southville and Ashton.
It has run the Southville Centre as a community business since 1991 including a nursery and other children's services, a cafe and room hire. SCDA also promotes activities within the community, especially related to green spaces, arts activities and older people.
Over the years, SCDA has helped to create a 'family' of a dozen or so independent community organisations that includes the Dame Emily Park Project, the Friends of Greville Smyth Park, Gores Marshalls, Southbank Bristol Arts, the Bedminster Healthy Walking Group and the Greater Bedminster Older People's Forum.
