Training for groups, drawing up Neighbourhood Development Plans

At the meeting on 9 May, Sarah O’Driscoll asked what training Neighbourhood Development Forum groups would welcome.

As far as I am aware, there has been no response to this request.

Please can you let me know whether you would be interested in a day course run by the Department of Communities and Local Government DCLG here in Bristol? Sarah needs to know what support there would be in order to decide whether to set this up.

Can each of the existing NDF groups respond please?
Any spare places may be offered to other groups not yet designated as NDFs, so please let me know if this applies to you.

URGENT: Response to the UWE student survey

Reminder for the request for a response to the UWE student survey.
10 people have responded to this- please help the student and the Network by adding your response today.

See here for a student survey which will be used by University of the West of England (UWE) and NPN to help identify what training would be most helpful.

Please can you reply to this survey by 24 May. Thank you in advance. It will provide valuable information for us all.

NPN annual meeting Sat 8 June (10am – 12 noon)

We have not met up as a network for a year. It will be good to discuss what the Network groups are doing and how the changes in council organisation and national planning policy is affecting us all.

It will also be a good opportunity to meet people from groups and hear what they are doing and what problems they are facing, so that we can identify common issues.

Last year, this was the section of the meeting that people got the most out of.
Do you have any suggestions for which groups you would like to hear from?

We will also be updating people on the community involvement monitoring of planning applications and asking for your experiences to feed back to the planning officers.

The meeting will be at the
Unitarian Chapel,
Surrey Lodge,
Brunswick Square,
St Paul’s,
Bristol BS2 8PE

at
10 am to 12 noon.
Refreshments will be provided.

If there is anything you would like to raise or would like information on, please let me know asap.
