The Kingfisher Group

The Kingfisher Group was established in 2002 by a group of residents in Windmill Hill who were keen to maintain and improve our local amenities. Originally we were solely concerned with cleaning, maintaining and developing our green spaces – the Malago River, Cotswold Road green and St John’s Burial Ground. Gradually our membership has grown and our interests have broadened to include monitoring and responding to local planning applications and developments which have an impact on our area. We work with other community groups on issues that affect the quality of life of residents of south Bristol and to ensure the protection and preservation of the built and natural environments in our locality.
