Transport Policy

Final Joint Local Transport Plan

The Joint Local Transport Plan team has been established by the Councils of
  • Bath and North East Somerset (BANES),
  • Bristol
  • North Somerset and
  • South Gloucestershire
now called the West of England.

It is a 5 year strategy for the development of local integrated transport.

The Bristol Development Framework Core Strategy includes the proposed transport strategic links.

A new website bringing together all the West of England Partnership transport improvements has been launched.

A number of rapid transit links are being proposed for the first stage of the Rapid Transit Network and NPN Administrators are helping with the Community Involvement discussions
  • Line 2: Long Ashton Park and Ride to Temple Meads
  • Line 3 South: Hengrove to City Centre.
