CI and the Developer

Site Briefs

A site brief is sometimes drawn up by the Planning Officers to make sure that developers are aware of issues before they begin design on a specific site.

Example

The headings of a sample planning brief had the following headings:

Relevant Policies
  • From 2003 Revision to Local Plan
  • Any other relevant planning documents (SPDs etc)
Comments
  • Use
  • Scale and design issues
  • Other matters, parking etc

Planning Obligations
  • Headings from SPD4 that apply to the site and suggested application of S106 money.
