The Bristol Development Framework (BDF) will replace the Bristol Local Plan. This will happen over a period of time as the BDF is developed. In Bristol a Joint Waste Core Strategy is also included. This has been drawn up by the four councils in the West of England Partnership. Bristol City Council has published for consultation the Bristol Development Framework: Core Strategy Publication Version See Bristol City Council website Go to 'Planning' pages on Bristol City Council website. The next stage of this work is to go out to consultation on the Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD). This is to start in June 2010. At the same time the council will also be consulting on the Parks and Green Spaces Strategy: Area Green Space Plans. This consultation will lead to the publication of a Site Allocations DPD Options Document in May 2011 with the expectation that this will be adopted in May 2012. Full information on the sites, identified in the 'Call for Sites' in December 2008, is on the Bristol City Council website, including maps showing location of the sites and a full list of the sites with the proposed uses. Each site is being assessed and the result of this assessment will identify which sites will be shown on the Site Allocations DPD proposals map. This will be part of the Site Allocations DPD consultation process starting in June 2010. |
