   Bi Monthly meeting with Planning officers:

The following items have been suggested for this meeting:

  • The Service Review: report on proposals for staff reductions
  • Protecting retail use: Primary and Secondary retail frontages are designated - should there be another level of protection? Possibly through Development Management policies?
  • The new public access planning applications programme: including the proposal to post all correspondence/ response documents online

The meeting is on
Tuesday 23 November,
at Brunel House reception area,
5.30 to 7.30 pm

   Sainsbury's planning application: news

Sainsbury's has submitted a revised application [10/04777/P] to construct a new building on the site of the Football Stadium, following the refusal of the previous application.

The Bristol Civic Society (BCS) would like to hear from any groups that will be responding to this application, so that they can take account of the community's views in making their response.

   BCC revised validation criteria for planning applications

Bristol City Council is consulting on the revised validation criteria for planning applications.

The requirement to submit a Community Involvement Statement [CIS] for major and supermajor applications is unchanged.
