Easton and Lawrence Hill Planning Group

The Easton and Lawrence Hill Planning Group meet monthly to look at planning applications for development in the area and discuss the likely impacts and change they will have on the neighbourhood. These impacts can range from removing valuable employment space, increasing traffic and parking, and over development of single-bed flats to arguing for more planning gain (Section 106 funding) given by developers for the benefit of local parks. The group provides a point at which developers can come and talk to local residents about their proposals

The group receives advice and training on planning policy and procedures in a relaxed and participative atmosphere so that everyone gets a chance to give their opinions about what concerns them about forthcoming developments based on good information.

Planning Officers often come along to pick-up the group's views and share information about work they are involved with in the area. If you want to know more and have your say on developments is happening in Easton and Lawrence Hill why not come along!

(For further information about the Easton Planning Group, please contact Raquib Khandker - Easton Area Project Officer on 0117-9222511).
