Site Allocations & Development Management Options Document and Call for Sites ExerciseThe Site Allocations & Development Management Options Document is the part of the Bristol Development Framework that will set out on a Spatial Plan
The Call for Sites exercise in December 2008 asked for people, developers, the community and others, to suggest sites for consideration for the Site Allocations & Devt Management Options Document.
This was the first step in the Site Allocations Development Plan community involvement process.
Many sites were suggested and the Local Planning Authority has been looking at these sites and their potential for inclusion in the Site Allocations DPD assessment work.
In February and March 2010, the Strategic Team Planning Officers and NPN Administrators visited each Neighbourhood Partnership to present the opportunity to look at the evidence (Neighbourhood Issues Profile) that are being used to assess the sites and to identify any other issues that should be taken account of.
The Neighbourhood Issues Profiles are on the Bristol City Council website and are available to download. Maps by Neighbourhood Partnership area and a full listing of the suggested sites are on the Bristol City Council website. Site Allocations & Development Management Options Document.Site Allocations & Development Management Options DocumentThe Core Strategy does not deal with the land uses proposed on specific sites. Planning proposals for different individual sites will be published in a separate “Site Allocations and Development Management” development plan document. The responses from the consultation exercise last year are being collated and a 'preferred option document' which reflects the responses will be consulted on in Autumn 2011. Note: delayed by Area Green Space Plans decision.
Central Area Action Plan and Knowle West Regeneration PlanThe Planning Department intend to deal with these two areas separately from the main Site Allocations Plan involvement process. For the central area of the city there is a separate plan-making programme and community involvement programme, led by the Planning Department, to produce a statutory Central Area Action Plan for the central area of the city. For Knowle West there a Pre-Application Community Involvement programme, led by a consultant employed by the BCC Major Projects Department, that aims to produce a number of planning applications set within the context of a development framework for the neighbourhood. Once the development framework is published the Planning Department will consider the proposed site allocations and carry out a further Community Involvement programme before incorporating any allocations into the Site Allocations Plan.
