South Glos development frameworkSouth Glos is currently drawing up the development framework documents for the area. see the South Glos Local Development Framework page link The Council re-published and invited representations on the Core Strategy (which incorporates December 2011 Post-Submission Changes), the Sustainability Appraisal Report that has been updated to support the December 2011 Core Strategy incorporating Post-Submission Changes, changes to the Proposals Map and other supporting documents. The official period for making representations was Thursday 29 December to Friday 17 February 2012. See link for more information.

Particularly relevant policies to North Fringe proposals are CS26, 27 and 28 Cribbs and Patchway developmentA new neighbourhood of 1,750 houses South Gloucestershire Council hosted a ‘by invitation’ master planning event to assist in the production of a Supplementary Planning Documents and Master Plans for the planned new neighbourhood(s) at Cribbs/ Patchway.
This report sets out a record of the workshop that will be used by the Council to inform the draft Supplementary Planning Documents to help guide future development on the site. The draft documents will be made available for public consultation later in 2011.
The developers who attended the meeting will use the information in this report to inform and develop their emerging master plans for the area.

The University is looking at how this land can best be used to improve, extend and consolidate its Bristol activities onto one major site at Frenchay. In December 2011, a public exhibition was held to display the proposals for the new neighbourhood centre for Cheswick Village, part of the development of the masterplan area granted permission in 2005.
