Here are details of the work currently produced by neighbourhood planning groups that are members of the NPN.

The work falls into two types:

• involvement in pre-application proposals for sites from private sector developers
  or Departments of Bristol City Council,
  
  
• involvement in area planning,
  either in response to a development plan document proposed by the Planning Authority or as an initiative of the neighbourhood planning group itself, in order for them to become more effective in giving views on development across the neighbourhood.
