BOGOFS
BOGOFS is a group of concerned residents
from the Horfield/Ashley Down area who oppose an application designed to bring
a 20,000 sq ft Sainsbury's to a site just off the Gloucester Road and a mere
800 metres from Tesco Golden Hill. Our concerns are mainly for the sustainability
of the local community including the environment - more traffic, packaging &
pollution; employment issues - loss of local businesses and their support services;
safety of pedestrians, especially children and the probable erosion of character
of Gloucester Road, under threat to global businesses.
